It was on my way from the airport to my hotel, and I quickly glanced over and was excited to see a local coffee company. I had decided on my next trip to the airport, I’d stop by. Once I tried it, I went out of my way to grab coffee from this location each day.
As a coffee lover, trying a new coffee place is always exciting. What made this experience over the top was not only was the coffee grown right here on the Big Island, but they also roast it right there in the coffee shop! I love the ambiance of the coffee shop. There is no indoor seating, but there is seating outdoors. Each time I visited there was a large amount of wild goats on the perimeter of the property, so it was very entertaining. They have a large selection of Hawaii made treats, gourmet chocolates and gifts inside the coffee shop. I grabbed a soda class and had them make my drink with it.
The coffee itself is great. I kept it simple with some espresso shots and a splash of heavy cream. The coffee was strong, smooth, and tasted amazing. Baristas are knowledgeable of the coffee and offer great suggestions. They took the time to answer all my coffee question and explain to us about their farm and methods. We bought coffee beans to take home with us, and it didn’t disappoint.
